ARTroads "LEARNING TO DRAW and BASIC WATERCOLOR- Traditional Techniques"

July 21st and 28th, 2007
9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
These two Saturday sessions will provide the beginning artist with the basics; a solid foundation of drawing skills and the basics of watercolor painting. Learning to see and then easily transposing the three-dimensional scene onto two-dimensional paper and canvas is our goal. A foundation of watercolor basics will be provided along with class exercises emphasizing technique. Lecture, demonstration, practice exercises, personal attention and handouts are included. Students will be expected to complete simple assignments during the week between the sessions. Most materials will be provided or available for a reasonable fee at the class. Students may prefer their own equipment and supplies. The material list will be provided with your confirmation notice.

9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Outdoor sessions, beginners welcome! Location will vary depending on weather and will include one bay or ocean view and one "urban" setting.
You will complete these classes with at least two drawings and two watercolor paintings!
