Show - Maritime Art 2025
Maritime Art ~ 2025” at The Golden Gate Yacht Club
The Golden Gate Yacht Club invites member artists from any international PPIC member yacht clubs to submit entries to the upcoming, juried, annual exhibit. The show will be on view and art will be for sale in the Club’s USA 17” lounge.
The exhibition will run May 15th– May 24, 2025 (during Club hours)
Deadline to Submit Applications: April 8, 2025
Details and Artist Entry
Entry for each artist is limited to three works of Maritime Art not previously exhibited in the Golden Gate Yacht Club’s Gallery, one of which may be chosen by the exhibition jurors.
Two-dimensional, original work, featuring water or boats or both, in any medium except video, may be submitted, including photography.
Artwork may not exceed 30” high by 48” wide (including frame) nor weigh more than 30 lbs.
All accepted work must be suitably prepared for gallery display and delivered to the yacht club on May 9th or 10th . Full details on entry requirements can be found in the prospectus.

Fundamentals of Watercolor
Fundamentals of Watercolor runs three concurrant Saturdays in June, each starting at 9:15 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m. at the ARTroads Studio in San Francisco, CA.

Three classes provide the artist with the basics; a solid foundation of watercolor painting techniques. Lecture, demonstration, practice exercises, personal attention and reference handouts are included. Students will be expected to complete simple exercises between the sessions. A detailed material list will be provided to registrants. Student participation is encouraged and expected.

Class - Paint Your Favorite Travel Photo in Watercolor
Move your favorite travel photo FROM your device and ONTO watercolor paper! Not suitable for absolute beginning watercolorists. We focus on standardized sizing, image selection and composition, transfers, drawing and watercolor painting.
