Portrait Drawing; 3 interactive, Zoom classes provide the fundamentals of portraiture for any level artist. Pamela presents an easy-to-repeat process for that exciting and rewarding exploration of drawing people. Learn the basics, then draw yourself or your pal or your proverbial "Auntie Em" from a photo or screen shot. Session 1 focuses on image selection, model posing, lighting, and approach fundamentals. Sessions 2 and 3 each offer our clothed model for two, 25-minute poses. Learn to focus on the basics; seeing the person, finding their spirit and translating a lot of that spirit onto paper or canvas. All levels and any media welcome. Pencil, colored pens or markers, or a very limited palette of watercolor work best. The class will emphasize a repeatable process; how to approach, compose and finish a portrait. Sessions include lectures, demonstrations, homework, and student drawing while online. Personal attention; constructive critique and down-loadable handouts are included. Minimal materials required.
